Welcome to The Storytellers Lodge, a lovely space in beautiful Minneapolis, Minnesota, my home town.
I am Terry Roos, a Spiritual Counselor who studied Spiritual Direction at Spirations Instititute for Interspiritual Formation. I am a certified Spiritual Director or Spiritual Counselor.
My training enables me to work with people in faith traditions or who do not identify with a faith tradition. I work with anyone who seeks deeper meaning in their lives.
My work includes one-on-one spiritual counseling as well as small spirituality groups. I conduct retreats when I am invited, to help people discover the Spirit working in their lives. I practice and teach simple meditation skills and write spiritual reflectionals on my blog almost every day. There is also a spiritual practice on this page that changes daily.
This is what I know. Our lives are made up of hundreds of stories--some long, some short, some happy, some sad, some comic, some tragic.
In my practice, I invite clients to share their stories and together we look at these stories to see the symbols and patterns they reveal. Putting our stories together allows us to see our lives as part of the stream that makes up our life. We can also reconstruct or reframe our stories to help us see new possibilities for the future.

Daily Spiritual Practice
Do you feel stuck? Do you keep repeating behaviors that make you feel badly about yourself? Do you let other people say and do things to you that further damage your self-esteem?
This is today's spiritual exercise. Consider who or what brings you down? In AA, you often have to change your playmates to keep you sober. If you want to approach yourself with greater love, you may have to change how your see yourself and ignore how others see you.
Who brings you down? Who lifts your spirits? Which playmate is best for you? Just saying...
